What type of project is it?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
This project consists of a landing page I made for a friend’s company. He asked me to make a simple page that redirects us to a bot he created to schedule meetings. At the beginning there was a form that, after being filled out and sent, an email was sent to my friend with the customer’s information.
Sure, it was for a friend, and that definitely added an extra sprinkle of motivation. But you know what really fired me up? Diving headfirst into these techy tools and figuring out how to get this page strutting its stuff online. Talk about a learning curve! But hey, the challenge just fueled my fire, and boy, did it pay off.<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The journey demanded a plethora of tutorials to decipher the intricacies of HTML and CSS, serving as my guiding light through uncharted territories. While I initially leaned on a template page for reference, I soon realized that merely replicating its elements wouldn’t suffice. It took numerous iterations, trials, and errors before I finally attained the envisioned layout, a testament to my perseverance and determination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout this project, my primary takeaway revolved around delving into the realms of HTML and CSS. As someone inherently drawn to the nuances of UI\/UX design, this endeavor presented an opportune moment for me to expand my knowledge in these domains. Despite my fondness for design principles, I had never embarked on building a webpage from scratch, thereby presenting me with an exhilarating challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of JavaScript, while its presence in the project was minimal, I found solace in my familiarity with its workings, thereby streamlining this aspect of the endeavor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon completion, the next step entailed bringing the page to life on the internet, a process that acquainted me with the nuances of domains, hosting, and the intricate dance of putting a webpage online. This final phase not only marked the culmination of my project but also served as a gateway to understanding the intricacies of web deployment, further enriching my repertoire of skills in the realm of web development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biggest Difficulties<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Embarking on my first journey into web development, I encountered a whirlwind of challenges that truly put my skills to the test. One of the biggest hurdles? Wrangling with CSS and its quirky ways of styling elements. It felt like diving into a rabbit hole of selectors, properties, and values, with each new concept sparking both frustration and determination.
Then came the puzzle of making sure my masterpiece looked good on every screen size imaginable. I mean, who knew making a website “responsive” could be so darn tricky? It was like playing a game of digital Tetris, trying to fit everything just right and avoid those pesky gaps and overlaps. But hey, after some trial and error (okay, maybe a lot of error), I finally got the hang of those media queries and viewport units.
But let’s not forget the grand finale \u2013 getting my creation live on the internet! Connecting the dots between my domain and hosting provider felt like navigating a blindfolded maze. DNS configurations, server management \u2013 it was a whole new world, and I was just trying to keep my head above water.<\/div>\n\n\n\n
